Mike Kuchar

Owner/General Manager

Mike’s professional career managing construction projects spans the past 15 years, from running high production residential developments to working with the GSA, US Military, and Alaska Native Corporations, just to name a few. His education background includes a four-year Bachelor’s of Science degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University (1998) along with training in fine cabinetry and furniture making. Mike works closely with project engineers and architects on many design-build projects. His input and construction expertise are essential in identifying and eliminating potential risks resulting in costs savings. Mike’s knowledge and construction background offer our clients Value Engineering (V/E) with solutions that fit within budget without sacrificing quality. Mike delivers projects that meet and often exceed his clientele’s expectations.

Lucas Parker

Project Manager/Dirtt PM

Lucas is our lead project estimator. In this role, Lucas is responsible for preparation of planning projects, preparing estimates, proposal, budgets and project timelines.

He has an intuitive ability to effectively advance construction projects from concept to finished product. With experience in every aspect of construction projects from $1,800 to $18 million, Lucas is a versatile and efficient team player. In addition to his role as Project Manager, Lucas also serves as Kuchar’s DIRTT and ICE software specialist. Implementation of this technology plays a key role in bringing our clients visions to life. Clients are able to tour their space in an interactive virtual 3D space, make changes with ease, and receive real-time budget/schedule updates as the space is transformed.  Lucas provides clients the option to design unique, sustainable and cost effective spaces.

Project Experience:

  • Copper River Basin Regional Housing Authority (CRBRHA) – Chitina and Copper River, AK– New build of 5 residential houses.
  • Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) Mill Bay Clinic and Healthcare Center, Kodiak, AK – Renovation of 10,000 SF building, including dental labs, mental health rooms and VA clinic exams rooms.
  • KC Aviation Flight Service Building – Talkeetna, AK – New building

Brad Chase

Project Manager/Superintendent

Brad is responsible for project management, field operations, and estimating. Brad is our paint, sealants, and wall finishes expert. Brads remote work spans from Dillingham to Ketchikan, including multiple projects in SE Alaska. His knowledge and experience of the industry was gained through hands-on field experience. He offers both clients and vendors exceptional professional service and the utmost ethical values.

Project Experience:

  • Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson JBER Bldg 682 Water Damage Repair – Anchorage– Replace damage due to water line break within 3 story dormitory and mold remediation on 1st floor.
  • St. Andrew Catholic Church Earthquake Repairs– Eagle River – 17,000 SF Installation of heavy timber trusses, interior and exterior repairs, paint and flooring.
  • Jacobs Office Building Repaint – Anchorage, AK – Exterior repainting of approx. 52,225 SF of panels.
  • Sand Point School – Deferred Maintenance sealant and Paint – Sand Point, AK – Exterior paint and sealant repairs.

Ashley day

Superintendent

As a lead Superintendent with over 20 years’ experience, Ashley is a strong team leader with in depth understanding of large scale commercial projects. With project experience from Nome to Bethel to Kodiak, Ashley understands all aspects of remote construction projects. His industry knowledge, organization and communication skills ensure projects remain on track from beginning to end. He is solution driven and committed to the success of each project. He keeps project owners and project team representatives well-informed of changes or issues. Ashley oversees employee staff schedules and rotations of 20+ full time and seasonal employees.

  • Nome Courthouse Tenant Improvements – Nome, AK 6,500 SF – Building Courtrooms, Private Offices, Lobby and Staff and Public Bathrooms.
  • The Eureka Space Tenant Improvement – Anchorage 7,500 SF – Exterior Paint, 20 new offices, DIRTT install, 5 new meeting spaces.
  • Knik Arm Power Plant (KAPP) Office Tenant Improvement – Central Environmental (CEI) – Anchorage – Renovated shipping containers for office space use, DIRTT doors, flooring, windows.

Maria is an Oregon transplant who found Alaska in the early 2000s while working as a traveling nurse. Maria and Mike started the business in 2010 and she is now our in-house marketing, programming, and proposal expert; insurance executive; training and safety guru; administrative leader; and most importantly, the heart of our office.
